Very twisty. An excellent, enjoyable, challenging ride but maybe a little too long for a senior on a bagger. I'm working on a similar route that skips/skirts the Tail of the Dragon (not worth it to me).

  • This is the detour around the washout on 165. Since I never did ride 165, I can't speak to what I missed but 360 is a great ride none-the-less.

When I have it to do over again is open been open I will probably skip TOD entirely and take 165, 143, 129N, and take 28E.

  • Technically the beginning of Tail of the Dragon. Worth riding once to get to and from what's on either end if it but really too tight for a bagger and although I was there on a nice Friday, there's no way I'd be there on a weekend.

  • This streatch of 28S is definitely one of the best sections of road on this loop. A sign near the beginning warning of tight turns for the next 40 miles kind of says it all.
