  • Adelaide

  • Athelstone

  • Montacute

    at 5km
  • A little circuit incorporating some of my favourite sections of the Adelaide Hills region.

  • Cherryville

    at 9km
  • Ashton

    at 14km
  • Once you get to Ashton, turn left out towards Lobethal. Now the road gets aggressive with tight corners uphill, but a lot of fun still.

  • Uraidla

    at 15km
  • Basket Range

    at 18km
  • Forest Range

    at 24km
  • There are a few straight stretches of road here that allow a fairly open throttle.

  • Lenswood

    at 28km
  • From here the road opens up to big sweeping corners that can be taken at a fast pace.

  • Lobethal

    at 33km
  • Left on Mill Rd, first road in Lobethal, head to the end of it and turn left, straight back on the 80 km/h section.

  • Gorge Rd

    at 42km
  • Turn left at Gorge Rd, the sign posts make it pretty obvious when you're coming close to this turn.

  • Cudlee Creek

    at 42km
  • Some fairly tight corners, with decent banked angle on them are coming up.

  • Green Bridge

    at 47km
  • From here the road opens up to moderate corners which allow for a lot of angle on the bike. Caution: Headbutting rocks or overhanging trees may impede your riding experience.

  • Finished with the good views and sweeping bends, from here the roads are flat, the corners somewhat brutal and the traffic more than annoying. Expect cyclists, trucks and bad drivers.

  • Castambul (Corkscrew Rd)

    at 54km
  • Past the Green Bridge and a few km's up the road, there is a left turn just before a small White Bridge.
Corkscrew Rd is a fun little ride, and the road is very narrow (including a single lane bridge), more notable is the 'corksrew' section where the road folds back onto itself about four times in a row with tight 180 degree corners.

  • Montacute

    at 58km
  • I finish the ride just before the end of Corkscrew Rd, due to there being a large patch of gravel before it joins Montacute Rd, from here a right turn takes you back towards civilised life.
