Warning: Coming from Penrith. Approach with caution. Hidden sharp left then sharp right to cross the river.

A short round trip. Starting in Penrith and heading North to Agnes Banks, left into Springwood Rd. Watch the sharp left and then weir crossing just ahead. From here it is straight stretches of road until you reach the start of the mountain climb. Steep and winding until you reach Winmalee. There to Springwood and back to Blaxland (via Great Western Hwy) is nothing to get over excited about but the run back down the mountain via Old Bathurst Rd is another collection of tight bends. A good learner route as it covers many road types yet is not excessive in length.
