Weekend run joining the Melbourne Ulysses Ice Run from Canberra, just the thing to clear out those public service cobwebs! PS. You might want to think about taking Friday afternoon off! Be packed and ready to go straight from work, or better yet take the whole day.<g>

Splash and Dash at the servo and a chance to recover from that long boring straight plod infested trek down from Canberra.

Fuel Stop and afternoon tea at the pizza shop next to the old cinema.

Fuel Stop and a fresh cup of coffee. If you left Canberra about 2pm then it should be getting dark, wait for dusk to pass before heading to Orbost, or stay overnight at the Pub.

Friday night stop-over, two great pubs with cheep accomodation and both Bike friendly as are the locals.

Fuel Stop and Lunch Stop. Staying in Orbost overnight allows us to get first dibs at the bakery while we wait for the folks from Melbourne and the others from Sale to roll up.

Fuel Stop and re-group for the run over Hotham

Regroup and smoko

Re-group, Fuel and Grog stop on the way in. Fuel stop and split up point for the ride home. Weather permitting, the ride up over Kosciousko makes for a nice three mountain run, choice of Thredbo, or Selwyn via Cabramurra. Or back over Hotham for Orbost and out the back road to Bonang and Delegate (some dirt ~20k) or round up the coast to Eden and Mt Darragh, Cathcart & Bibenluke, or Brown Mountain. If you have the Monday off, overnight at Bombala, then down to Eden, along the coast and back up via Kangaroo Valley is pleasant.

Saturday night and the gangs all here. After breakfast quickly pop along upto the lower carpark at Falls Creek stand on the helipad and wave at the web cam (http://www.ski.com.au/snowcams/fc3.html).
