at 141kmDo I head north for latte at Gingers and fuel?
OR am I a real ADR nuffy and head into the Cells River Area?
Prolly wise not to solo this section in the wet OR have Sat phone with you.

Decision Corner Two
at 147kmNow you are at the creek, you can stay and play nicely, no ruts etc, OR you can go up and out to Gingers for that Latte.
Take the time to look for old stamper battery and remnants of Gold Mining days. I'm just weird, I love industrial history.
If wet harder to go this way
at 149kmHead up to Grassy Ridge. SOME private land holders have now locked boundary gates due to user stupidity. Please respect this environmentally sensitive area and ride sensibly. NPWS will shut it all if users stuff it up any more.
Oxley Hwy
at 156kmwest for body and bike fuel at Gingers Creek or East to push on to Walcha for same. Depends how buggered ya feeling. After latte at Gingers head west along Oxley
Decision corner 3

Old Kookaburra Mill Area
at 236kmNPWS Kookaburra Hut is here. Very basic but cheap. Old mill village with lots of history. Take time to have a look around at remnants. Some lookouts in area as well. Marys View 12kms west out Carrai Rd is bloody spectacular. Water tank stand almost rotted, fridge didn't work and paper wasps were having a ball in January 2007. We have stayed here many times and great to use as a base if you want to explore more up on the Plateau. Often wet but camping is also Ok. Old school building next door is owned now by Kempsey Boy scouts. Key from Port macquarie or Sth West Rocks National Parks offices.
