From here you can either give up and go south along the highway or turn west for some great roads leading to the south-west. A few bumps on the older sections, but nothing nasty.

A turn east from here will take you back to the highway at Cooroy through some lovely twisty roads along the ridge and through the valleys. Mostly 80klm limit. Heading straight on will take you to the Eumundi-Kenilworth Rd.

Take the next turn (Overlander Ave.) after the bridge over the highway or straight ahead to stop in town for coffee, etc.

Left here for Nandroya Road and a nice sweep down into Eumundi township.

A turn to the north-east here will take you out towards the coast and Noosa, etc.

Home of the famous Eumundi Markets (Saturdays and Wednesdays) which are worth seeing and has some good places to stop & refresh.

A turn west on Gold Creek Rd here will take you back to the Kenilworth Road along a beautiful valley. 60klm/hr ahead for a bit.

Petrol here and food, etc. Also the home of the Ginger Factory largest ginger factory in the southern hemisphere and a good tourist destination.

Turn south-west here into Camp Flat Road (watch for it after coming down off the hill).

Petrol here on this corner (both sides) then straight on up the range. A bit of suburbia here for a while.

A sharp turn left at the top of the climb halfway round the curve. Preceding corners are amazing, but the double lane is not very long.

Straight on to the South-west for us here, but if you wish to go south-east through Eudlo/Mooloolah, then hook a left under the railway and then straight away right onto Chevallum Rd.

Turn right here to climb the range again to Montville on the top.

A very nice tourist oriented town with no shortage of restaurants and shopping for those who wish to stop.

We turn west here for Maleny, a well known alternative tourist town with good food and fuel. Turn south here for the coast and highway.

Straight ahead is Maleny with food & fuel, but we turn here to head out to the west.

Nice sweeping valley roads here with good enforcement on weekends.

A local secret is the Postmans Track as it is an exciting and enjoyable road if you exercise care due to the initially VERY steep & NARROW downward plunge with BIG "whoa boys" every few hundred metres before leveling out into a lovely bottom of the valley type road to Conondale.

Shop here and public toilets in the park.

Eastern Mary River Rd. is a very scenic diversion from the main drag here with fairly good surface. VERY narrow so watch for oncoming tractors, cars, cattle trucks, etc. Cattle grid country so watch out for the beasties! Comes out just south of Kenilworth.

From here to the town of Kenilworth in the north, lie the most beautiful set of corners in existence. Enjoy, but stay safe.

The Bellbird Teahouse cafe is a must do stop for lunch or coffee. It is the ACE Cafe of Australia. Catering to the motorcyclist every day except Tuesday.

A good town that has a good attitude towards motorcyclists (which we reciprocate) food, fuel, pub, etc.

Up the range again here with a great set of uphill curves (clockwise route). Good surface with no surprises except a couple of tight corners.

A turn west form here willl land you in the town of Imbil with food, fuel & another road over the creek to Gympie. We head north though along the Gympie-Brooloo Rd.

A city with everything. To get to the east as we are, turn at the light HERE and then left at Brisbane Rd even though this track goes further north (wrong turn!)

If travelling clockwise around this route then this is the start of a very choice piece of motorcycle road indeed and much favoured by the locals. It has sweepers, twisty bits, hills & straights plus some very scenic rural countryside if you should choose to slow down to enjoy it. If traveling counter clockwise then you may choose to turn right at this point and take a look at Fraser Island from Tin Can Bay & feed the Dolphins too.

A very pretty spot overlooking the dam with a wooden bridge at this point, so take care when approaching it as it is one lane straight after a corner.

From this point atop the range, the road drops south down the very tight, steep little section called "Gentle Annie" (heading clockwise) so take care of possible oncoming traffic particularly if wet.

A good pub here for rest and resusitation. Good food too. The road south from here is superb indeed, but care must always be taken against oncoming traffic.

This is the yummy bit with great banked corners and new surface to dream about!

If in need of petrol, go straight on to the south to Pomona & then come back here. Turning West here takes you to Cooran (cafe here) and then south-west.

On top of the range again here and heading along a long downward set of curves that wind all the way to the Bruce Highway. Good road.
