If you're riding through during the Fall/Winter, look to your right as you pass the Factory Kawasaki Supercross testing track.

Exit Central/Highway 74 and make a right.

Turn right onto Ortega Highway. Signage is good, so you shouldn't have any problem finding the canyon.

This is a long sweeper. Cars like to cut inside to other lanes, hug the shoulder here and watch your speed.

Be sure to stop into Hell's Kitchen for some awesome food. Open early to late 7 days a week. TONS of motorcylce parking and a great crowd.

Be extra careful in these two corners, because you carry so much speed into them.

Right about here is where the CHP presence gets a lot stronger. They are zero tolerance on dangerous riding....

You are now 100% in Orange County. Now be careful here, because they're doing construction for the next couple miles of 74(as of 5/09).

Get gas at the Chevron here. They are very biker friendly and the prices are comparable to the "cheap" gas stations.

Enter onto the 241 Northbound. NOTE: This is a toll road, so make sure you have at least $10 for the toll.

Turn right on El Toro Road

Stop into Cook's Corner for some good food and an extremely bike friendly crowd. On Sunday mornings, this place is packed with bikes.

Watch your speed through here, I've seen a few OC Sheriffs with their radar guns out before....

Stay extra alert through here, with cars pulling out of Irvine Lake

Get back onto the 241 North, towards the 91 Eastbound.

This is the last toll booth before the 91.

Watch your downhill speed, as CHP presence can be heavy and traffic will start to backup here.

In the afternoons, especially during the Summer and Fall- winds are very strong in this area.

It's a decent grade up the 71 into Chino Hills, so there will be slow moving traffic. Be careful splitting lanes through here.

Exit Chino Hills Parkway

Turn left on Chino Hills Parkway, heading west.

There are several gas stations, restaurants and fast food places for the next 1/2 mile.

Watch your speed passing over Peyton Dr. The local PD frequently watch for speeders in the Circle K parking lot.

Watch your speed through here, I've been told it's a speed trap.

After the left hander ahead, is a blind street entrance. Watch for cars coming out, they just seem to appear out of thin air.

This is my favorite part of Carbon Canyon. Be careful not to push too far wide on the second right hander, because cars do cut inside on this corner.

Traffic will start to become congested here, in the later hours of the afternoon.

If you need fuel, there are plenty of gas stations to choose from on this street. There's an El Torito just before the 57 Freeway on your right hand side as well

Stay on 57 North towards Pomona.

Keep on the 57 North towards Covina.

Be very careful, there will be big rigs and other vehicles merging from the 10 Freeway. Their transition is very steep, so they will be going much slower than you.

Enter onto the 210 West towards Los Angeles.

Exit Asuza Canyon Rd/Hwy 39 and make an immediate left from the offramp.

Turn right onto Azusa Canyon Road. There are a few gas stations and places to eat on the next two blocks. I generally fill up my tank before entering the canyon.

At this curve in the road, it is not uncommon for Azusa PD motorcycle cops to sit with their radar guns out. The Speed Limit is 35 MPH, stay at 35.

Through the homes and apartment complexes, there are the radar signs that display your current speed. Be careful, CHP has been known to watch those signs...

There is a Ranger station right here, if you want to go in and check road conditions, etc. Once in a while, they will divert traffic to a checkpoint they'll have set up in front of their office. Checking registration, insurance, etc.

Go easy through here, it's still flat and straight. There are also a lot of mountain bikers at this point who love to be in the lane of traffic.

Go past Old San Gabriel Canyon Road, and continue up the road. At this point, you will start climbing uphill. Keep an eye out for slow moving cars/trucks and bicyclists in the lane of traffic.

This corner is notorious for having rocks and debris in it. Keep your eyes open.

This is a very fun chicane, just watch out for cars coming down the hill. They like to go straight, instead of following the double yellow.

There is a big turnout right here that offers a great view of Morris Reservoir. Bring your camera.

This corner is fun to twist the throttle and hang on. It's the biggest sweeping turn of the canyon.

This turnout here offers another awesome view, but this time it's of the San Gabriel Reservoir.

Turn right on East Fork Road, and head east onto Glendora Mountain Road

Keep right at the fork, and continue on East Fork Road towards Glendora Mountain Road.

Make the hard right switchback onto Glendora Mountain Road. If you want to take a break, there is a rest area at the switchback, with public restrooms. On the weekends, this area does get crowded.

There are quite a few turnouts going downhill, that offer some excellent photo ops.

Be super careful through "the butt" as we call it. I watched a guy highside through it a couple days ago.

Right about here is when your downhill speed starts to pick up. The downgrade increases more sharply at this point.

Stay right on Glendora Mountain Road at the fork and continue on downhill.

These are the last 6 corners of the canyon, so enjoy them.

Watch your speed. The people who live around here don't like anyone flying past their houses.

Turn left onto E. Foothill Boulevard.

Turn right onto S. Lone Hill Avenue. There are a few places to eat and fuel up, between here and the 210.

Enter onto the 210 Freeway headed East.

In the mornings and afternoons, traffic will start to get congested around here. The carpool lane is your best option.

Exit 210 Freeway at Milliken Exit

Right on Limonite Ave, heading west.

Left on Archibald Street, heading South.

Turn left on Schleisman Road and right into Albertson's parking lot. End ride at 7-11 with a well deserved break.

This is where I end my loop, because it's only about 1mi from my place.
