Mark's place - I figure we can stay the first night here. It's only 243 miles from Talihina, but would allow us to hook up with Mark and do some planning. Alternately, we could go on to the Memphis area and camp. Mike indicated an interest in seeing some sites around Memphis.

Mike indicated an interest in seeing some sites around Memphis. There's the Memphis-Graceland RV Park at the end of Lonely Street behind the Heartbreak Hotel (no kiddin'!) where my family and I stayed on a road trip a few years ago. Not a bad place, but in town and close to Graceland. Memphis is 345 miles from Talihina, which is doable in one day if we don't piddle too long at Mark's place.

Might be a place to bed down for the 2nd or 3rd night here. This is about 350 miles from Memphis. There is an RV Park called Camp Columbus a few miles to the SSE of here.

Lots of campgrounds in Dayton. This is about 410 miles from Memphis, and may be a better place to camp if we can make the miles.

This is our basecamp for a couple days while we're riding the Smokies. Cherohala Skyway runs west out of Robbinsville to Tellico Plains.

We can head south from here to the Cherohala Skyway, then west to Robbinsville.
