Using the 2 ferries was a great idea, you can relax and you still probably save some time, you definetley save about 75miles.

Rt 1 is overrated, you cannot see the ocean, lots of traffic, roads more inland are much nicier in Maine

Lobster in Northeast Harbour, very nice place, knew it from sailing before. Getting there was quite a challange because of all the traffic, getting there by boat is much easier

very nice motel with view to the lake just 50USD, nice people as well
The inner Maine is much better than I thought, will avoid the busy coast in future.
