There is a Caltex on the left before we go down King Road. suggest you are fueled up at the beginning of the run, but this is your late and last opportunity if you are low on fuel.

Scenic slow route with narrow roads but little traffic usually.

This is a cable Ferry. No fees required. May have to wait 5 minutes for return ferry.

This is an open uncontrlled intersection. Watch for trucks.
Sth Maroota
All very rural narrow roads in good order. 80 kpm limits but you should go slower here.
Halcrows road
This is slow left slightly up hill. IT comes up fast and may have gravel. Look for the large Electricity substation on your left as the indicator to turn left

All of Halcrows road is narrow and you really must keep left and be aware of 4WDs taking up their fair share, or more, of the road

We join Old Northern Road, an 80 kpm Road and this is an uncontrolled intersection which we approach uphill and requires deceptively sudden deceleration after having had a full throlle going uphill. Turn right. Watch for gravel under foot.
Wylds road
Arcadia road
Turn right. Uncontrolled. Gravel may be about on the road surface.
Galston
This roundabout is pretty safe. We turn left here. On this intersection is the Greenshades Cafe. For those doing a short run we will come back here for lunch.
Galston gorge turn off
Open T junction. Approach carefully due to gravel and open intersection which invites drivers to take up lots of road here.
Galston Gorge
You will drive over the oldest known wooden truss bridge of its kind in NSW. You may have to give way.
Gorge
You have about six 15 KPH hairpin bends ahead of you, all uphill on the eaast side of the gorge. Cruisers need more room. Position yourself so you dont cross to the wrong side on the exits to the hairpins.
Hornsby Heights
We will stop here to wait for the tail enders to catch up. Caltex Station on your left is here. We will pull off the road and post a marker on the raod side to capture the tailenders and Charlie.
