A great stop for camping, music and partying during "Big Valley Jamboree" country music festival. Check dates, usually first long weekend in August. Otherwise a pretty quiet town with most amenities including a few motorcycle shops.

a good quiet 2 lane alternative N/S to the busier and bigger Hwy 21 or freeway like Hwy 2 through much of the central part of the province.

Alberta's dinosaur country. This little river valley is surrounded by desert and unique topography that hides many of the regions dinosaur fossils.

Last Chance Saloon
Hundred year old saloon. Rosedeer Hotel is same vintage and has 8 rooms. Supposedly the third floor has been closed due to ghosts.

winding little road that hosts 11 bridges within 5 kms. There is a campground at Dinosaur trail RV resort. Not sure if they take bikers with tents.
575 westbound
575 - Hwy 21
Hwy 21 is a good alternative to taking the busy and straighter Hwy 2 N and S through the province. A few small towns worth stopping at and some better scenery on this 2 lane secondary hwy.

a nice winding alternative to Hwy 2 runs N/S roughly paralleling Hwy 2
Wetaskiwin
A bigger town with lots of food and accomodations to choose from. Reynold's Alberta Museum of Transportation History has some cool old cars, bikes and planes on display. Features some of the best examples of steam cars in North America as was reason for a recent visit by Jay Leno.
Leduc
a big town with most amenities. Good proximity to YEG international airport.
Hwy 39 - Hwy 60
Devon
Basically just a gas/food stop. Some camping and motels. Party beach on the river in the summer.
