Take Rte 40 to Steamboat Springs (side excursion). Route takes you through high country over Rabbit Ears Pass.
Walden

Colorado State Forest State Park
Stop at the Colorado State Forest State Park Visitor Center for information on the largest state park in the Colorado State Park System. Geocaching is a sanctioned recreational activity at this park.
Horsetooth Resevoir Dam
Follow Co Rd 23 along Horsetooth Resevoir, one of the busiest boating resevoirs in Colorado. View Colorado State University just to the east with Fort Collins spreading out into the plains.
Masonville
Small village with a wedding shop and one of the best motorcycle apparel shops in northern Colorado.
Jamocha Joes
Great little roadside coffee shop with shaded picnic tables outside of Loveland and close to gas stations (fill up before heading up to Estes Park where gas prices are much higher)
Estes Park
Ride complete! Recommend two days for leisurely coffee and lunch stops, sightseeing, and an overnight stay in Hot Sulphur Springs.
