Coronado, Ca.
I figure starting this journey at the Old Ferry Landing is as good as any place to start. Normally, I'd just start at my house, but then the world would know where I live,,, and that wouldn't be too cool. So, we'll start here. If you need gas I don't think you'll need me to tell you to get some before you hit the road. If you do and you're actually starting in Coronado, I might suggest getting off the Island first as fuel prices on Coronado are ridiculously high.
Ride straight out to 1st Street and make a right.

*NOTE* Co. Hwy. 101 turns into Ponto Dr. for a bit. This road travels through a few towns, but the ride is beautiful. Considering the distance of this ride, you always have the option of remaining on Interstate 5... But I've never been in a rush when I'm on my bike.

You're at Hearst Castle. This is a great spot to do the Tour thing. Hearst Castle is definitely worth taking the time to visit. Back tracking your steps to Cambria you'll find wonderful hotels, great winerys and restaurants. This is a great trip.
